The Quiet Season · Nov to Mar — Four days, Thu to Sun
from $8,500 / 4 days
Storm light, whale migration, the coast emptied out. Firewood stocked, the hearth lit on arrival, and a standing late checkout.
The leaders who know, book these weeks first.
The connoisseur's pick
The Quiet Season · Nov to Mar — Seven days, the residency
from $14,500 / 7 days
A full week on the winter headland: storms, whales, the hearth, and not a soul on the coast. The residency at its purest.
The leaders who know, book these weeks first.
Seven days — the residency move: four days settle a group; seven change one. The residency runs Saturday to Saturday, so the middle of the week — the days with no arrival and no departure in them — belongs entirely to the work. It's priced at roughly three-quarters more than four days, never double, and it's the stay the returning leaders graduate to.
On pricing: these bands exist so you can gut-check budget before filling out a form — both units, every season, no compression. Your quote depends on dates, group size, and add-ons — a firm number comes back within one business day. No negotiation theatre.

Asked & answered

The questions leaders actually ask.

Can we bring a chef or caterer?
Yes — the kitchen was designed around visiting chefs, and we keep a short list of coastal cooks who know the house. Self-catering works too; Fort Bragg's harbor market is ten minutes for the morning fish.
What about dietary needs — vegan, gluten-free, allergies?
Collected with your booking, not discovered at dinner. Every chef on our list cooks vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free fluently, and the kitchen briefing flags a dedicated GF prep zone for self-catering groups.
Is alcohol allowed?
For your private group, of course — Anderson Valley pinot on the deck at dusk is half the reason people drive Highway 128. Private events only, per county licensing.
What's the minimum stay?
Four days — Thursday to Sunday. The other stay is seven, Saturday to Saturday: the residency. The house turns slowly on purpose — we don't do one-night stands between retreats, and we don't split the week into scraps.
How do deposits and cancellations work?
The same terms for either stay, four days or seven: 25% holds your dates; balance due 60 days out. Full refund beyond 120 days, half beyond 60. Inside 60 we work to re-book your dates — if they re-book, you're refunded.
Can day guests join beyond our overnight 14?
Up to four day guests for sessions and meals — the circle seats 18. Headcount a week ahead, please, for seating and the bluff lot.
Is the house accessible?
Genuinely: single-level, step-free throughout, one roll-in bath, flush deck access. The cove stair and coastal trail are not accessible; the fire ring is, by flat path. We'll plan rooms with you honestly.
Cell service and Wi-Fi?
Fiber Wi-Fi inside (240+ Mbps). Cell coverage on the headland is patchy — most leaders count that as a feature, but the house line and Wi-Fi calling cover the rest.
